I am extremely stressed with Hebei Rongye Import and Export. I knew they never intended to send my product so I requested a full refund. They agreed and sent me a form to sign to cancel the order. No money was ever refunded even after numerous attempts to contact them!
First off, I am not saying that Alibaba itself it is scam. Imagine how hard it would be for them to monitor a database the size of Alibaba to keep out the scams and rip offs. So my point in writing this blog post is simply to warm buyers not to rely solely on the directory to enforce the professionalism of the suppliers found on the given directory. It is up to us, the buyers, to do our own due diligence before we send money and issue purchase orders.
I was sourcing 4G phones from Global Sources.com which I had well over 30 responses. I had made enquiries from several and had checked out a few which had fraudulent write ups about them so I avoided them.

I wanted to buy 5 ton copper scrap so I contacted Xinyu Haimay Mining CO., LTD on Global Sources. I was convinced and paid $17,650 for 5 ton of copper scrap to their company’s account. When I went to get the goods from the Port Botany in Sydney it was steel which was worth only around $800!
