I searched on the internet for a reliable supplier of electric scooters. I found out that Alibaba.com has scanned his suppliers and named the good ones GOLD MEMBER SUPPLIER. I bought electric scooters from Yongheng Car Industry Co, Ltd, also from Hangzhou. I paid USD 9,000,00, to a Gold member supplier of Alibaba, and it did not work out! They were Gold Member supplier for 7 years. I succeeded in putting complaint on their site. They simply deleted it. Twice!! They blocked all forums on Alibaba, you can not write review anywhere about suppliers and so on, so nobody will know how corrupt some Chinese business people are.
I contact this Chinese company through alibaba.com, to purchase cell phone accessories, cases, chargers screens. The company seemed serious even made me discounts and answered some emails after paying, I got the codes shipping, after that they never again answered my mails, sending reached my country Chile in a small envelope, which should have been a big box, the envelope was bringing only small flash drive 256 GB.
I am very disappointed and I use my money to attempt to start a new business being that Alibaba is now Nationally trade company and went Public this year I am so sad and upset and I hold Alibaba responsible rather being hacked or not they are a large company and should protect their potential clients.
After paying the sample charge to them, the girl called Jennie Chiang follow it up. But she misunderstood our requirement and made the wrong black color of my paper bags. And they refused to make the new samples ! I have no choice, I have to paid extra cost against to ask them to make the new samples. I already paid much on it, if I looked for another new supplier, I lost more. However, they failed again, as they don’t have the experience to print the black color same as my designs on the paper bags!
First off, I am not saying that Alibaba itself it is scam. Imagine how hard it would be for them to monitor a database the size of Alibaba to keep out the scams and rip offs. So my point in writing this blog post is simply to warm buyers not to rely solely on the directory to enforce the professionalism of the suppliers found on the given directory. It is up to us, the buyers, to do our own due diligence before we send money and issue purchase orders.
I found the company called Foshan Nanhai Newface Beauty Instrument Technology Co., Ltd. on Alibaba. We agreed on a price for a brand new NV909 oxygen machine to be manufactured and delivered to Melbourne Australia.
I sent this supplier in China 500 USD, in order to receive samples. The samples they sent were broken.
After the order already was delayed, this buyer gets clearly blackmailed by the Chinese supplier! Another example that shows how important a thorough supplier evaluation and due diligence is, when sourcing in China! The seller is requesting $298 to be sent via Western Union to Debin Liu to pay Customs for brand tax for items that only value $355. I have imported from other suppliers in China and never have I heard about a brand tax!
After my payment, he was delaying the shipment for a week. After that he asked me to order two more bikes to make a shipment, otherwise he can’t ship the bike. So I asked him to cancel this order and get me a refund. He said it’s not possible even if on the description said all bicycles can be returned with buyer’s satisfaction.
We bought a list of tools for a value of $3,582 from Fuyao Tools. After the payment, the supplier provided a fake tracking number and disappeared. The goods have never been received.
The proforma invoice beneficiary is “Xudong Hu – Fuyao Tools” (Bank of China in Xiamen), so a personal bank account disguised into a company name.
