User Experience:
We engaged in a drop shipping relationship for our business, Canvas by Numbers. We agreed via WeChat production times for standard kits (2-3 business days) and custom orders (3-5 business days).

After a couple of weeks, the fulfillment issues started. Over 50% of the orders were not shipped on time. In some cases, the delay was not a couple of days but over a month. A total mess. We got chargebacks, and our Etsy store was penalized, and so on. The supplier, Huanbing Li, said they got “many orders.” Don’t commit to quick shipping times to grab our business, then?

Furthermore, once the customers started receiving their orders, oh my. Materials were missing, dry paints, defective canvas printing, you name it. I’m not talking about a minor error %, but over 30% of the orders. We got 10-20 complaints daily from unhappy customers. We lost a lot of business.

The supplier offered help to send missing materials, defective paints, etc. but not for long. Not only did they not support our customers, but after a couple of weeks, the guy went silent and chose to ignore us. Of course, he was paid in advance for all orders.

We had to resend many free orders from our other supplier because this Huanbing Li guy took our money and refused to offer aftersales support. Some issues could have been solved by sending the digital painting file, but the guy was not even available for that!

All in all, if you are in the paint by numbers/diamond painting business, you should avoid this supplier at all costs.

Always make a written contract where the supplier commits to the level of service agreed upon and specifies a penalty in RMB to be paid should this be broken.
