We placed an order for electronic connectors of a world-renowned brand, at a price over market (spot buy). After checking their business license, the comments on their listing, and verifying directly with them several times that the goods are genuine, we received a stamped sales contract and paid.
Two days later, we received the goods and directly noticed English and French spelling mistakes on the packaging and stickers, on top of minor packaging issues.
We directly contacted the supplier saying we need a refund and we will ship back the goods since they are obviously fake. Then started a long written chat, being called “people who don’t understand these goods” and other excuses like “this batch being made in Korea, its packaging is different”.
We also received two very angry calls saying the same as above. But with insistence, we managed to make them promise in writing that we would be reimbursed, and shipped them back. The lady in contact with us kept telling us we don’t understand anything, etc., to a point we just needed to ignore it.
Meanwhile, we sent an email with the packaging pictures to the local branch of this brand, who luckily replied very quickly “these goods are copies, not original”. We sent the screenshot to the supplier, and their behavior changed immediately. Saying they would reimburse us directly when the goods arrive.
