User Experience:
I found lcds-display.com on a Google search when trying to source an Ampire display that few suppliers had stocks of. I was trying many different companies trying to find someone who could work with our tight timeframe. Mark was our contact and assured me he could ship the displays with a 2-3 day lead time. He sent us a proforma invoice and we paid via bank transfer and supplied him with the receipt. He acknowledged the receipt and then we heard nothing for over a week. Since that was over the Lunar New Year, I thought perhaps the order hadn’t made it out before the holiday. I kept asking for updates, which he would not respond.
Finally, about two weeks after the order, he told me that the displays had been damaged in transit to his facility, and he would let me know when he got the new shipment. That’s the last I’ve heard from him. We sent emails to all the email addresses listed on the site, accounting@, info@, service@, and of course to Mark himself. All follow-up emails to service@, accounting@, and info@ went unanswered, and I haven’t heard back from Mark even though I’ve sent many emails requesting updates.
I also sent an email to the address listed on the proforma invoice but that one bounced. Also, the website on the invoice is listed as lcds-center.com, so that site seems to be part of the same operation.
User Recommendations:
We were operating within a tight timeframe and didn’t take the time to audit the validity of the company thoroughly. If making a large purchase it may be worth the extra cost to hire a consulting firm to verify the company’s integrity.
