I contacted by email for an order of 3 each EVGA RTX-3070 video graphics cards for a price of $400.00 USD each with 50% to be paid upfront and the final 50% to be paid on delivery of the product. The payment was made in BTC. The seller then later produced a fake freight bill indicating that a mistake had been made and 30 unit had been accidentally shipped instead of 3 and attempted to force me to pay for 30 units, made false claims about losing his job and that I needed to send more funds right away.

I knew this was a risky proposal, and took the gamble. The use of an escrow service was proposed and refused. In retrospect, this should have been a deal-breaker. I reported this matter to the Global Sources complaint line, and their response has been insufficient and feet dragging. I see that they may be able to do little to remedy the matter.
