One of our local vendors provided Infinity Electron as an option to purchase some parts for a new product launch. We contacted them and went back and forth with requirements, pricing, and payment terms. We issued them a PO and received a proforma invoice from them with wire instructions that referenced HK Spark CO., Limited and not Infinity Electron. That should have been our first indication that things weren’t above board. We wired the money with confirmation that goods would be shipped 2-3 days after they received the wire and never heard from them again. We’ve attempted to contact them numerous times via email and phone with no communication. I even went to Infinity Electron’s website and sent a request to them about our parts with no response. Attempted to upload the correspondence and PI, but the site wouldn’t allow it for some reason.
User Recommendations:
We later found out that our vendor found this contact through a Google Search and had never done business with them so verify this fact first. Always Google the company name and reviews before even contacting them. Check sites like Blacklist.com first before making initial contact with. If there’s a discrepancy between the company name and the company to wire then complete more research.
