I ordered steel plate 45 grade, 4 different sizes from this company and the sales name is Neve. She asked me for 40% deposit and I agreed, then I paid this on 22 December 2020. On 8 January 2021, she said the factory stopped production due to the smoke and pollution matter, so she gave me option whether I wanted to wait or Oude could arrange to buy from Southern company. After they gave me new price, I agreed with them as long as they can deliver before the long lunar holidays.

Then the goods were ready after the holidays. I paid the balance on 1st March 2021. I also used the 3rd party arranged by my country because we need the report from them. The inspection was held at the factory, so noone from Oude was present during that time. Inspection went well, there were 8 packages and all were weighed in front of the inspector.

When the goods arrived in my port on 13 March 2021, it was Red Line import which means that customs would open and check the goods inside. Then they told me that all the packaging had no details, so they need to open all and weighed them all as well. I was shocked when 1 package should have about 3 tons turned out only have about 1.5 ton and less. In the pictures before and after the container opened, we can see there are nothing differences as all 8 packages can be seen clearly. From total of 24.988 ton I only received 12.38 ton.

So we can conclude that the mistakes must be from the weighing equipment at the factory which in the end deceived the inspector. Oude may or may not involved in this matter but they should be the one who responsible because I dealt from them only. They did not want to investigate, and after all the evidences I sent to them they did nothing until now.

So be careful with this company, they only delivered less than half of my contract despite they have A VERY GOOD reviews in Alibaba. Neve is a very terrible sales. From the beginning I have told her to write down the quantity of sheets, she did this in proforma invoice but she didn’t do it in the end at the final invoice. I have been importing for 3 years and I have never got the packaging with no details at all and this was the worst supplier I’ve ever dealt. Stay away from Neve and Shandong Oude Metal Material especially if you are about to do initial order with them.

1. In my case, the quantity must be written down and during inspection, it must be checked no matter how small the thickness is.
2. The weighing equipment can be manipulated, so knowing the quantity is a must and can also use the option of requesting the container go into the weighing station.
3. Based on my experience, both China and my country only use the data submitted from BL, and BL from China only copy the supplier submitted data, so if they submit the wrong weighing you will never know until you receive the goods. In my case, if this shipment were Green Line Import (means Customs will not check the container), I will have no chance to complain about the over-tax I paid to customs.
4. Oude will always argue that I have 3rd party who had inspected the goods for me so they can get away with this. This is the most annoying part because I also filed a complaint against the surveyor. But once again, the evidence was there. Nothing changes when the container is about to be closed and when we received the goods here.
