User Experience:
On February 24, 2020, we placed an order with Bonase Electronics (HK) Co Limited (Bonase) for 60,000 pieces of Vishay part number IHLP4040DZER330M1A totaling $26,400.00. The parts were quoted by Bonase as in stock, new and original. Payment terms were wire transfer in advance.

We asked repeatedly that we would need photographs of the parts in advance of delivery. This requirement was part of the purchase order contract. Instead of providing photos of the product labels, Bonase offered to ship two 500-piece reels for inspection under PayPal payment terms. Bonase’s inability to provide photos, we agreed to accept a sample delivery. Payment totaling $480.00, which included the cost of goods plus a $40.00 PayPal charge, was made as agreed on February 26, 2020.

On February 27, 2020, we advised Bonase we would issue payment for the balance of the product with the agreement that photos would be sent. The next day we released payments to Bonase to cover the full cost of the 59,000-piece balance of the goods plus PayPal and wire fees:
$8,660.00 paid via PayPal for 18,000 pieces plus $740.00 in pay PayPal fees
$9,720.00 via wire transfer for 22,000 pieces plus $40.00 in wire transfer fees
$8,400.00 via wire transfer for 19,000 pieces plus $40.00 in wire transfer fees

On March 4, 2020 Bonase asked payment for DHL shipping cost $ 1.937,70

On March 5, 2020, we received the sample shipment containing two 500-piece reels or 1,000 pieces. We noticed the serial number on the label affixed to the reels was the same when, instead, each reel should have a unique serial number
On March 9, 2020, we made Bonase aware of this finding and advised Bonase that Vishay had been provided with photographs of the labels for verification.

On March 16, 2020, Vishay responded in writing, stating “the goods are fake. The lot number does not match the specified article number.” Vishay noted this was not the only discrepancy. Based on these findings, we refused delivery of the balance of the goods which had been shipped from two different shipping DHL accounts.
19.000 pcs shipped from
BONASE Electronics Co Ltd, The East Gate of the fifth Cu, Industrial Park Fuyong Town, Hong Kong.
40.000 pcs shipped from
KINDER CRYSTAL CRAFTS MFR Co Ltd.
2/F BLKD Agricultural Electric
Industrial Estate Fuyong Town
Shenzhen 518104, China
We believe this is a fake address as KINDER does not sell electronic parts.
Both shipments were not accepted by us and returned by DHL.
Please note: we did not take possession of both shipments.

The two shipments, containing the balance of 59,000 pieces that had been refused, were received in Hong Kong on March 25, 2020. However, only one shipment (19.000 pcs) was delivered to Bonase; Hong Kong. The other (40.000 pcs) was re-routed by the sender (KINDER or Bonase) to a location in Sheung Shui, Hong Kong on March 26, 2020.
We initiated a refund for payments made for 1.000 and 18.000 pcs via PayPal. A refund totaling $480.00 and $ 8.660.00 was received for the returned parts.

Bonase has indicated that a refund has not been made to us as they have incurred additional customs taxes and shipping cost on the refused shipments and claimed, that they never received the 40.000 pcs send by KINDER but invoiced by Bonase. However, Bonase has not provided any shipping documents documentation or invoices to substantiate their claim.
As of this date, Bonase has been uncooperative and/or unresponsive and has refused to refund our advanced payments.

Amount due:
TT 19.000 pcs $ 8.400,00
TT 22.000 pcs $ 9.720,00
DHL $ 1.937,70
UPS $ 1.206,00
$ 21.263,70

User Recommendations:
I would advise NOT to place orders at BONASE. Very high risk of fake parts.
