User Experience:
We created an original concept and design of a product and searched for a manufacturer to produce them. We founded this supplier on Alibaba. We had a very smooth and pleasant discussion in a really good English for several weeks. I created two paid samples and sent them to us. Fast shipment. Good products. Everything was OK. We then asked to order the first batch to test the market. We already had discussed price detailed before. The supplier created the order on Alibaba Trade Insurance… and we discover that he previously had created a listing with our private label product on Alibaba to sell it to everybody! We asked him to remove the listing. He had absolutely no right on the product which is an original creation, created by our designers. After that, he tried to change payment terms and other aspects of the order we had previously decided. He then became less smooth in communication and we decided to change supplier; we weren’t confident anymore with him. A few days later, when we couldn’t change our review (sample order), we found his listing with our product on Alibaba again. He totally and unscrupulously stole our private label design and concept.

We will never ask a Chinese manufacturer to create the first batch of a private label product anymore. Especially if he is new on Alibaba.
