User Experience:
I purchased a pair of Nike sneakers from nikepc.com. The website seemed legitimate and the ordering process went rather smoothly. I promptly received a confirmation email and tracking number. Almost 1 month later I received a pair of ugly/cheaply made knock-off “Gucci” sunglasses. When I contacted the seller to advise of the error I expected a full refund or an explanation as to when I would receive the product I ordered.

Instead, I was told that it is the fault of “the express company” and that the item I ordered was out of stock and they advised I could keep the sunglasses(for my friends and family) and they would refund me 32% of the cost of my original order. I advised that is not acceptable and I needed a full refund. They advised they cannot give a full refund because they paid shipping to send the order to me already. They advised they could increase the refund to 42% and would issue it immediately if that’s OK with me. By this time I had researched the company further and it’s clear that they are scammers and that I was not the only victim of their predatory business practices.

I also learned that there is not much that can be gained in litigation against sketchy Chinese suppliers without going to China or at least hiring a Chinese lawyer. As such, I am going to cut my losses and take their 42% refund(though I am not very confident I will ever see a penny from them).

-There is little recourse against Chinese companies unless you are willing to go to China or hire a Chinese lawyer
