User Experience:
Our company LTB Lasertechnik Berlin tried to source an obsolete electronic part (9000pcs) and got a fraudulent offer from www.i-components.com (Mr. Rio Zhang). There are big shortages for the entire group of components ( ceramic multilayer capacitors) and this part in particular was both exotic and obsolete. After desperate search on the European market we tried to contact international brokers and i-compnents was the first attempt. Mr. Rio Zhang initially appeared very cooperative but insisted all the time on TT payment = up front.
He promised to send the parts according to our PO asap after receipt of the corresponding remittance. The only thing he did in fact was to approve he received the payment. Up from this very last mail from his side we have been unable to reestablish contact to him (and we have tried hard over a couple of days). We never got any goods from him.
Meanwhile , about 4 weeks after that flop, we have to consider him a scammer- there is no other convincing reason for his lack of further cooperation. So don’t make business with i-components. The corresponding website, by the way, looks awesome and promising.
User Recommendations:
Fortunately, pressure of time for sourcing our component was not that big.
Our company has a representative in China. Because he is more familiar with the Chinese market, we asked him to investigate from a list of Chinese brokers which ones are serious-minded. He told us his most important tool for a company assessment was www.tianyancha.com ( unfortunately you have to apply chinese letters), a survey about Chinese companies and their relationships.
