JinJiang Jiaxing Group Co., Limited’s manufacturing department made a bad promise on our custom coffee mug design. They could not produce our mug as per our design and specifications as they had promised in the contract. They canceled the contract and wanted to charge our company $800 for plaster/gypsum mold cost. It was clearly stated in the Proforma Invoice that 30% deposit will be fully refunded if JinJiang Jiaxing Group Co., Limited cannot produce our mug for any reason. They should not have accepted our order if they could not make it.
After a month long email exchange conversation, our company had to make a concession that we agreed to pay $250 to cover for the mold cost because we realized that we risked losing all of our deposit if this disagreement continues to drag on although our company is not responsible for their failure. (Our mug design can be produced because our company found a New York mold maker who can make our mug design.)
When they refund our deposit minus $250, they deducted the bank transfer fee from our refund instead of paying the wire transfer fee out of their pocket, as if they don’t understand the business norm. When our company made the wire transfer for 30% deposit, we paid the transfer fee separately so that their company received exactly 30% of our order. They are very unprofessional. They are shameless in trying to get someone else money undeservingly.

Our best advice is “Don’t do a business with that company at all.” Once your money is out in their hands, they have an upper hand. They made promises easily to get your order/money, and then they force you to accept unfavorable conditions if problems occur because they know that if you back off halfway, you lose more money.
