Stage of relationship with the supplier at the time of the incident:
I purchased a used transmission from this company on October 12,2018, I picked it up on October 18th 2018, but when my mechanic looked at it an hour later, realized it was the wrong one. I called White mountain back and explained to them that It was incorrectly ordered, I was informed by them that I would have to pay the shipping charge to send it back. I returned it that day to have the correct one ordered, and I was told that I couldn’t return it because it was a perfectly fine transmission according to the place where they got it from, and white mountain refused to tell me who they ordered it from but blamed them for not wanting it back. And refused to refund me the $550.00 I paid for it. Even thought they had no issues with taking back the transmission. Refused to order another one for me, and gave me a list of other suppliers. This company is an hour and a half away from my house. I paid $100.00 in gas and $550.00 for the transmission. I feel that White Mountain Used Auto Parts, should have treated this matter differently, and reordered the correct transmission and used the money I paid towards the new one. Instead they offered me $200.00 to go away. I still feel they should have to pay me the remaining $350.00 and the $100.00 in gas as I had to make this trip twice. If they had said something prior to me driving all the way back, I would have tried to get legal help.
Can you lead me in a direction to get help with this matter
That there are actually bad companies out there and I feel its hard to trust people
