We engaged Jowi Export Trading Company S.L. for the supply of CNCA approved chicken cuts from a third party referral. We received an SCO which we accepted and requested due diligence materials to substantiate their ability to supply the goods described.
We were provided with various documents, one being an invoice that was on Seara letterhead and stamped and signed by various persons allegedly from Seara. The format of the invoice was questionable.
We contacted an Export Manager who directly works with Seara who reviewed the invoice and immediate identified that it was not an invoice from Seara or JBS. She identified that the invoicing numbers were all incorrect. The trading name Jowi Export Trading Company S.L., was also reviewed in their database and variations thereof. It was discovered that the invoice was a fraudulent document and they had no record of that company ever having any contact with Seara or JBS.

I would strongly recommend always conducting a thorough due diligence process. Think outside the box and never be afraid to contact the suppliers that they purport to deal with directly to confirm supply.
If they refuse to provide due diligence materials this is generally a strong indication that they do not have the ability to supply the product. They have advised that they have become aware of the above post and intend to disclose confidential information and publish our company on this website, in a tit-for-tat approach to resolving the publication we made on this website.
I would ask that you take strong note of this conduct and the fact that they have not attempted to defend this publication by providing a response to prove the legitimacy of their business and that they do in fact sell chicken from Seara, but would rather attempt to slander and commit libel against a bona fide buyer of these products.
