I Found the supplier on Alibaba. The sales agent was Yvonne Ye. We sent over the drawing and had daily meetings. They implemented and shipped a perfect initial 5 set samples which cost over $1000.00 USD and took 3 weeks. However, during the initial production they had lot of challenges and difficulties in every stage of the process. (This was due to that they used a cheaper raw material that had inconsistent reactions to the machining and chemical processes.) There was more than 60% scrap rate and delayed by 2 months. After the poor experience, I never followed up with the second batch Order. They signed a Non Disclosure agreement, Confidentiality, non-solicitation and non-competition agreement, yet, they continue to manufacture our products and list them on Alibaba. Poor professionalism and malpractice.
User Recommendations:
Do not trust Chinese manufactures with quality and perform independent quality control – both the initial raw material and end product functions, aesthetic and tolerance. Do not trust Chinese manufactures with reported timelines. Every project I’ve worked on have been 2 months delayed, so prepare your customers for that.
Advice: Have daily meeting with the supplier point of contact with lots of discussions on progress with photo/video and samples.
