Our purchasing manager Miguel Cavero made the negotiation of the products in technical specifications, quality and price for 30 days, an agreement was reached in all the described, the supplier confirmed that only a 40′ HC container with 9 was necessary. pieces, then the PI was modified to 8 pieces due to lack of space in the container, later we were informed that only 6 pieces could be sent inside the 40’HC container and that we would need an LCL for 2 pieces.
Our shipper who is hired by us, informed us that this cargo was dangerous because the products came with 60V / 45Ah batteries, and that I requested the MSDS to notify the shipping company of the type of merchandise that is being shipped; the supplier’s response was that he did not have MSDS, to which my shipper notified that this dangerous cargo could not be shipped without that essential requirement.
This total ignorance of the supplier of the quantity of pieces per container, means that our freight costs, operating expenses at destination would increase approximately USD 1400, and not having the MSDS certificate from the batteries made it unfeasible to dispatch according to the loading rules dangerous.
The supplier insisted that we use your shipper and that he could help us with the MSDS certificate, for which we quote the Freight towards Peru and this was an additional USD1,100 for the 40’HC container, and an additional USD800 for the LCL, as well that we assume the risk of being confiscated by the merchandise for violating the dangerous merchandise rule.
After these discussions, I asked Alibaba first to return the advance for being a purchase insured within the period of claim, which was denied arbitrarily, then we have done everything possible to send us only 4 pieces, which in the end will be the quantity that can be sent per 40’HC container, we have not had an answer, we have been scammed by this company.
