User Experience:
With reference to the above title, we would like to bring to your attention of a bad experience that we have encountered buying from TOBO Group.
We found their contact via ALIBABA website which has a vendor rating of Gold Supplier back then during our first purchase with them. The first purchase is good with good quality and delivery deadline. However, the problem comes during our second and third purchase with them.
The problems that we faced with them are as follow;
1. Delayed delivery (the terms were not clearly communicated earlier when placing the order)
2. Quality issues with the delivered item
3. Cancellation of delivery nearing the delivery deadline with no compensation plan in place
4. Irresponsible attitude towards their products
5. Misrepresenting others with their website
6. Admitted they are at fault but not willing to repay us and force us to buy from them to get further discount on our next purchase
7. They can cancel our product delivery but we are not able to cancel our order when they are delayed.
8. They did not repay us back the money that we have paid for in advance for the items that they have conveniently cancelled.
9. They conveniently blamed the Chinese Government for exercising the Central Environmental Inspection for delaying their production.
10. They are not the manufacturer as they claimed to be but they are getting it from smaller manufacturers.
Due to the above issues and problems that we faced with them, we have suffered tremendously both monetary wise and brand name.
We have written to them asking for compensation. In some cases, they did compensate us by re-sending us the raw materials to be manufactured here locally in Malaysia. However, they did not compensate us for the additional machining works and administration works that were incurred here in Malaysia. Moreover, we suffered monetarily to bring in the products via AIR FREIGHT which is much more expensive then the initially planned SEA FREIGHT.
On another occasion, they argued that the products supplied by them are not “precious and special” materials which is why the finishing of the products are not according to our standards. Also in another occasion they mentioned that their products are not “food industry” products and asked us to accept the condition which is spoiled, scratched and dented.
We replied them that we are a German based company here in Malaysia supplying solutions to the world’s Petrochemical Industry. Whatever that we are supplying to this industry is of high standard and a must go through a stringent control. Quality is our number one priority as this directly relates to the safety of human lives working in the industry.
Our replies were not entertained and Tobo Group Shanghai Co Ltd ultimate decision is that they are willing to compensate us through our next purchases with them by giving us additional discounts. We cannot accept as we do not trust their brand and products anymore. How do you expect us to buy again from the same supplier that is causing us so much damages and problems with one order and not being responsible for it?

AS this is the 3rd purchase, we paid in full for this payment in hope it will motivate Tobo Group Shanghai Co Ltd to help produce the item on a faster rate. However, it did not happens that way. Do not in whatever circumstances pay in full.
Get a 3rd party to monitor the order for you. Though it cost a little more, but its worth every penny as you know what is going wrong on a timely manner. Audit the company thoroughly.
