User Experience:
My company, Future Network Distribution are distributors of data networking products and one of the ranges that we sell is a range of data cabinets, branded Qube Network Enclosures. http://qube-enclosures.co.uk/
Qube is our own brand and Safewell Group Holding Co Ltd is our current supplier of the products. Previously we sourced these products from another supplierWe had to stop purchasing from Turnlink due to the level of damages being delivered. The final straw with Turnlink was after they sent a full container of damages….
Due to the above, we started to use Safewell Group Holding Co Ltd in 2014. As Safewells quality control is none existent and we have constantly received damaged parts, to which they have always replaced. We have always been given assurances that they would address their QC and eliminate more damages coming through but this never happens.
Our last delivery that we received from safewell in July 2017. The order value of this order is $60,089. As standard we pay a 30% deposit ($17,380) and we paid a further $25,718 on the 14th July not long after the delivery arrived.
Once we take delivery, we hand ball all boxes with great care and store away until the cabs are required to be built and shipped out to the customer. Our orders are usually for about 300 cabinets, so checking each and every carton for damages is an impossible task….our process is to check each part when the cabinet is ready to be built.
After an initial spot check we began to find many damaged parts. The damages range from big dents in the metal work, heavy scratches and very bad paint work. All of the damages ultimately means that we could never sell the product.
After 3 weeks of checking every single item we ended up with over 700 damaged parts. None of which could be used to assembled the finished cabinets.
Obviously we made contact with the supplier, who always deny that any damages happen prior to products leaving China and implied that we are causing the damages in order to get free products.
Safewell Group Holding Co Ltd have refused to replace the parts and are demanding that we pay the final balance to them and have reported my company to Sinosure. Most Chinese suppliers use Sinsure to insure their invoices, so if and when a customer does not pay, Sinosure will pay the supplier what is owed. Sinosure then put the customer on credit hold in China, which causes the supplier great difficulty in getting credit from other suppliers.
Obviously Safewell report us for withholding payment but they would never tell Sinosure the reason why, just that we are refusing to pay.
This has clearly hurt my company a great deal. We are $43,000 out of pocket and have 2 container loads of products that we cannot sell.
we have spent over $300,000 with Safewell and they have totally turned their backs on this problem.
I have built a website which explains in full this experience with Safewell, it includes an image gallary of all damages and email exchanges from Safewell Group Holding Co Ltd.

This is the 2nd tie this has happened to my company and learned a valuable lesson. When working with any new suppliers, we will insist they sign and stamp a formal and official contract drafted by a lawyer who deals in Chinese trade laws. we will also pay a 3rd party to visit the factory to carry out a qc check.
