We got multiple revision of samples done and then finalized on the final quality required for the mass production. Optosun had (Ms. Amy – Sales representative and Mr. Jensen – Owner of Optosun) both committed to deliver better quality than the approved samples but the mass production has various issue. As our order was delayed we requested them to provide partial quantity so that we can package and ship it to our customer, we paid balance 70% for this partial quantity and got the material to our CM.
Strips had cut all over here, solder joints were exposed, glue was breaking (this is IP65 rated strips), after reporting these issues to the vendor they kept on insisting that this is normal industry standard. They never accepted the mistake, after insisting alot they agreed to repair the strips. But they have refused to provide us the repaired strips for which we have paid 100% money.
Mr. Jensen was rude and very very unprofessional when I visited the factory to do inspection on the repaired strips.
User Recommendations:
Never trust Chinese suppliers, just signing a PI or placing a PO doesn’t make a difference. Have a formal agreement in place between the two parties. And don’t make balance payment without doing the inspection of the goods.
