The only problem I have had is that the supplier gave us 30 day terms for the order verbally, we then placed our order. Once we placed the order, they said the 30 day terms were declined and that if we didn’t pay the total by a certain date, the order would be cancelled and we would be charged a 30 percent restocking fee. The supplier already had 20 thousand dollars from me, they shipped only 12 thousand worth of product, kept the balance and gave in an invoice for 15 thousand in restocking fees. All of this went against their terms on their invoice.

Do not accept their terms at all. Make a separate contract as they are ruthless with restocking fees. They even charged me a restocking fee on items that I already paid a restocking fee on.
