I reside in the Uk.
December 2016 i placed a buying request for a zinc ingot on www.alibaba.com website. I got couple of response in my email and i started communicating. The contact i communicated with is called Alice. We negotiated and i also asked my cousin in china also contact them.

Because the city is far from where my cousin lives, i was told my cousin can visit their office/warehouse when the product is ready for shipment.

They make a proformal invoice which was signed and after the first 50% payment which was $3100. They verify the payment and i was told the packaging takes 10-15days as per their invoice. i told my cousin to visit them after 10days of confirmation of payment because Alice decided not to respond to my email and when she does she kept saying ” i am not going to cheat you ”

My cousin went to their province and when he got to their office address, he was told Alice is not around and he asked after for the manager and has he started speaking to the manager the manager says he/she doesn’t understand English, then he spoke in Chinese and they said to him the manager is not around.

So he went to the Qingdao City public security bureau, they asked for the Proformal invoice and evidence of payment which was given to them. He was told to come back in a weeks time. after going back there he was told the company has an internal financial problem that he should come back the following week. After going back the following week, the police says to my cousin that the company says they do not know any Alice and no payment was made to them. Even though the police has all evidence with them.

The company phone numbers are no more going through.
