Initial contact and exchange of emails was good and efficient. Once purchase made and funds sent, no replies to my many emails requesting the shipping number were received for 3 weeks. A number of phone calls were made to USI and eventually apologies were given, shipping number emailed and after another 2 weeks, goods received. Except the goods were not those ordered and invoiced, but were much smaller diamonds ie 1 x 4.9mm rose cut instead of 6.5mm and 27 x 1.1mm instead of 26 x 1.4mm brilliant cut. The size of the stones was critical for the engagement ring I had been commissioned to make, and the stones sent to me were essentially useless to me. This was expressed to the supplier in many unanswered emails, and, again a phone call was made, more apologies given. I once more wrote explaining that the replacement of the 4.9mm rose cut with the invoiced 6.5mm was critical as they can not be purchased here in Australia. I was assured all would OK, I shouldn’t worry and a new parcel sent. Again, no shipping # was emailed to me, even after further requests, but eventually a parcel arrived. Only it contained the 26 x 1.4mm stones and no larger 6.5 mm rose cut. Further unanswered emails have been written to them explaining my dissatisfaction, so I feel my only recourse is to report them on a forum such as this and notify them of it.
Not to buy stones online from India, although I have since needed to repurchase the needed rose cut from a NY supplier and am still awaiting delivery…. maybe I haven’t learned anything at all!
