Customs Reply:
The Customs and Excise Department is the only government department responsible for customs clearance in Hong Kong. Except for an import/export declaration charge, NO clearance fee is charged by Hong Kong Customs for normal cargo clearance. If any goods are detained by us for investigation, we will issue the “Receipt for Article/Goods/Thing/Vehicle/Vessel/Ship Seized or Detained” as a notification. For details of the declaration charge, please visit our website at http://www.customs.gov.hk/en/cargo_clearance/declaration/index.html .
As the scenario mentioned in your mail is possibly a scam, please do not deposit any money to avoid any monetary loss. Besides, since the investigation of which is outside the purview of this Department, you are advised to file a report with your local police and the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) for investigation. The contact means of HKPF is as follows:
Email: crimeinformation@police.gov.hk
Regards,
Customs and Excise Department
Next step is to file report with Shenzhen Police
User Recommendations:
I would never buy anything from and Alibaba or Alibaba Express Company again to include any supplier or manufacturer in Shenzhen China. Previously, I had a successful purchase of a security camera in Shenzhen at SZ Baolongshenng Technology Co Ltd but now after the Century Leading Scam this is my last time purchasing from China.
Did he ever ship?
