User Experience:
The supplier sent the goods in poor packing to our Chinese forwarder in Guangzhou. This was despite our repeated instructions to the supplier to pack the cartons in gunny bags so that, even if the cartons broke, the goods would not be lost. They had assured us that they would follow the instructions. But they sent in a very basic packing. As a result the cartons broke in transit and the forwarder charged us 100 RMB for repacking. When we asked the supplier to pay the 100RMB charges to the forwarder, they clearly refused saying that no other customer asks for gunny bags. We said that if that was so, they should have informed us before shipping that they could not pack in gunny bags and we would have made an alternate arrangement. But, they did not listen and were even ready to stop business with us.
