We have been co-operating with Phoshine for almost 2 years and the total amount of led product in value ordered has been over USD 130,000. I got to admit that the sample product purchased from them is in excellent grade, but when a bulk order is placed, you will start to see functionality defects & cosmetic defects everywhere. Every time when we reflects on these defects on the product to Mr. Dior (Salesman of Phoshine), he has assured us that they will sent us the replacement upon our next order. But this never happened. The very last incident came on a product, LED Flood Light, 70W & 100W where we have met a lot of failures & our management has decided to sent the COB (light source) to Epistar for authentication as Phoshine at always claim that they are using Epistar’s led chip in their COB. The report from Epistar came back and confirmed that it is not an Epistar led chip that Phoshine is using. We then tried to negotiate with Mr Dior from Phoshine to have these batches of led flood lights to be replaced as it is not what we have agreed to purchased in our Purchase Order & Invoices. He immediately turned aggressive and kept insisting that all their products are using Epistar chip & that the report from Epistar is not valid. That really puzzled us because who else in this market can confirmed that the led chip is not from Epistar except Epistar themselve? The very next day, Mr Dior starts to turn off his mobile phone(+86 15888 029114) as well as his skype (skype ID: dior-phoshine1992). We tried to call his assistant Miss Sophia (mobile: +8618758812338, skype ID: cherryled1) and her response is that she is not in charge of our account and she cannot make any decision for Mr Dior. We have then managed to find out that Dior is the owner of this business. We have lost a total of estimated USD10,000 to this unethical company who is still in operation and offering their low grade led lights to the market for 3 years warranty.
My advice to all purchasers out there when dealing with suppliers from overseas is not to commit a huge order without really conducting a 100% audit of this supplier by yourself. For those in the led business, please make sure that you have got your led lights authenticated by the manufacturer (eg. for Epistar: go to http://www.epistar.com.tw/_english/12_chip/01_form.php) where you can simply fill in a form & send this form together with your product to them for verification. The service is free but you will have to sacrifice your product to them. We are a purchaser as well as a supplier to our end customers, we have to be responsible for what we are selling. Let’s make this world a better place by “cleaning out” those companies who relies on scams to make a living. One last point for everyone, it is useless to tell them “I want to speak to your supervisor or manager”, well it might work for a cooperate world, but for these small companies, it is the boss of the company whom you are dealing with all these while. Good luck everyone…..we knew that when this report is being published to the world, we will definitely not get back our USD10,000 from this scam company (Phoshine), but my management is strongly against such act and he’s intension is to expose the dirty tricks and unethical act from NINGBO HAISHU PHOSHINE LIGHTING TECHNOLOGY Co.,LTD.
