Lapin supplied LED light bulbs that failed the SGS test, the importer tried to get their money back or replacement products but the factory ignored him. We also tried a letter from a Chinese law firm to see how that would work out. Nothing, the lawyer got ignored the same way as anybody. Again, these lamps were successfully sold in EU with a different name, so the SGS test is almost as a Chinese government was running the operation. Everything looks to be OK, but in reality it’s all fake and meaningless.

User Recommendations:
After the importer had worked over 20 Chinese LED bulb manufactures and more than half of them had problems he changed his buying methods. Now he starts with a notion that Chinese are in general thieves, then works up from there to minimize the risks. I have noticed with some importers, their new POs will not require them pay the full amount until 1 month after the products are on sale in the market. With better factories there is no problem, but for some they can’t do it and will probably be out of business soon.
