My friend had purchased two machines from this factory with amount of almost 200000 USD, condition is 30% Advance, 60% before shipment, 10% once goods arrived at destination and being installed successfully. FYI, this order is DDP with insurance) and promised of free a set of spare parts and training at site.
Before 2nd payment, factory had informed us that because its chinese new year so the transportation inland and vessel is increased a lot and want us to pay for it asap at amount of 5700 USD. We its unavoidable so we couldn’t help it but make a payment. in term of import-export transaction, actually the shipper will send BL to consignee for custom process, but the factory keep saying that there is no BL and didnt want to provide any necessary documents, yet demand for the remaining payment and threaten that they will not released the goods if we not pay. This order was placed at the beginning of 2019 and the delivery was made before chinese new year. Supplier tried every method to ask my friend to pay the remaining amount and that is really bother us.
However we decided to handle customer cost by ourselves and contacted vessel for the shipment, which able to do it successfully. But another issue had followed, We actually went to factory for the product testing and its working fine. However, when we have got the product at the plant, everything doesnt look right. Product was in the bad condition and unable to work. Its rusty and look like used machine. We wanna claim the loss with vessel agent where we the insurance was being purchased. We tried to contact factory but there is no cooperation from them as promise and they also not doing anything according the agreement with many excuses.
Up until now we found out that this shipment never has insurance from the start and also they had put the machine in improper ways, supposedly to put in 40 GP but then to save cost, factory had put it in 20 GP instead. So product has a lot of damage. And after tried to fix this machine by ourselves. it was working for 1 day, then the motor is totally stop. We really do not know what the real cost, so we sent the motor for repair in the technical shop with certificate. Then another worst thing is that motor is used one, and inside is like super damage and bearable to use. we try to contact the motor company because we really have no hope with the factory that we had purchased this machine from, then the motor company told us that this model had been obsoleted long time ago, and they only sell brand new one.
There is no doubt that we might be able to know more about how bad is this factory who cheated on us in order to gain a lot of profit from the shipment.
Another FYI, we have been trying to contact the owner by using translator from our side and this is how owner said to us:
1. We begged him to provide the services and follow what is written in the agreement.
Owner: He doesn’t care because its impossible to file a lawsuit for international purchasing less than 3M RMB transaction, so he is not afraid with anything
2. As promised about 1 set of spare parts for free per machine, we want him to send us accordingly
Owner: He will send only if customer pay for it
3. About the training on site as in contract (additional free services)
Owner: Can but customer need to pay for the travelling cost, engineer wages, hotel, another facilities during training session.
4. Specification and manual guideline for this machine to be provided
Owner: No any document provided as promised, yet he only gave out excuses.
Now what we can do is try to fix it by ourselves and hire Chinese speaker to help us translate all the written on the machine. Hope this story can help some of customer who is about to or will do any business with this factory.
